No more table quiz for me sir……

Well this spare time thing is more trouble than it’s worth. In the last few days I have managed to clean my house from top to bottom, sort out my room and one or two other things that I don’t like doing.

Went to a table quiz for a local radio station last night. My team consisted of myself and 3 of the lads. We were doing great until they started to doubt that I knew the origin of tulips.

It’s turkey for all you table quiz buffs out there. Well from then it went from bad to worse. We were last at one stage, which is when I tried to get questions wrong as I thought there was a last prize.
In the end there was but we had scrapped the bottom of the barrel and got a few more right so didn’t get anything. It was a good night and a good laugh.

I haven’t got any great pics the last few mornings. The traffic keeps stopping in all the wrong spots, well that’s my excuse anyway :)
Here’s one just to show I’m am trying…..

Thanks Patrick by the way for the kind mention in your blog hope that it is what tipped the scales. Not sure why you were looking up your own name on google though :)

It’s all over……

So the final curtain closed on the Magdalene Whitewash on Saturday. It really went well and all the cast and crew really enjoyed the doing the show.
I feel, like the rest of the cast, “What do we do now?”.
I now have this new luxury in my life called……
“Spare time”
So my next question is what am I going to do with this new found luxury that I possess.
Well I think the answer to my troubles is photography.
I started a few months back and am really enjoying it. Normally I just go down to the phoenix park and shoot a few photos over the weekend or on the way home from work. Unfortunately with the winter evenings setting the later is not an option for a while.

I also came up with a novel way to get me through the drudgery of early morning traffic. I whip out the camera and take a few shots when I am stopped.

Here is one from last week. It is a telegraph poll in Chapelizod.

I think I will call it

1 Down, 3 to go….

Well just got my weblog setup with the help of Patrick (http://www.maths.tcd.ie/~daveyp/nzTrip/blog/index.html)
We got a mention on TV3 for the Magdalene Whitewash this morning so that has me in a pretty good mood. The show went great last night and everyone is doing brilliant.
Looking forward to the aftershow party now :)
